This role is responsible for leading the financial management of the Government of Canada - Western organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and experience in managing large budgets.

Responsibilities

* Allocate resources to implement organizational policies and programs
* Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
* Coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
* Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
* Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
* Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning

Requirements

* 5 years or more of experience in finance
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Excellent oral communication skills
* Organized and able to work in a team environment
* Initiative and ability to take on new challenges

Work Environment

* Work must be completed at the physical location
* No option to work remotely

Budgetary Responsibility

* $1,500,001 - $4,000,000
* $500,001 - $1,500,000

Experience and Specialization

* Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel
