What is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Commercial Markets Leader at RBC, you will lead and coach a team of relationship management specialists to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth. You will be responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the commercial banking industry, regulatory requirements, and market trends to provide guidance and advice to your team. Your proactive approach will enable you to execute RBC's strategic business priorities and deliver a highly differentiated client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of relationship management specialists to achieve sales results, portfolio profitability, and strong client relationships.
  • Play an active role in relationship management of complex client relationships.
  • Work closely with CFS Finance and Group Risk Management to support client credit needs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong culture of risk management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with leaders across RBC to bring the best of the bank to businesses and their employees.
  • Ensure strong talent management routines are in place, including training and development plans for each relationship manager.

Requirements

  • Strong sales leadership experience.
  • Strong business development skills with proven abilities in developing centers of influence.
  • Minimum five years of experience in large commercial credit ($5MM+).
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance with strong analytical skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to perform well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Experience and comfort with emerging technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or CFA.
  • Experience managing remote teams.
