Opportunity for a Medicine Support Physician

Become a vital part of our esteemed Department of Medicine (DoM) team in a locum capacity. Our department is committed to providing exceptional clinical services, fostering innovative research, and delivering outstanding educational experiences.
This position emphasizes enhancing patient access and optimizing flow within our emergency services, encompassing both the Emergency Department and inpatient care. Candidates with a background in internal medicine or hospitalist roles will find this opportunity particularly fitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess daily patient assignments and coordinate care as necessary
  • Deliver hospitalist-level support for Emergency Department consultations
  • Admit appropriate patients to the Hospitalist Medical Service
  • Oversee patient transfers to suitable services when required
  • Direct patient care, including investigations, treatments, and consultations
  • Streamline patient discharges and ensure follow-up care
  • Support other teams during less active periods
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and facilitate clear communication within the team
