Position Overview

As a vital member of our operations team, the Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of our transportation services. This position is essential for maintaining the safety and reliability of our fleet.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all bus routes and scheduling to optimize performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to drivers and monitors, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Handle high volumes of communication via phone and radio.
  • Address scheduling issues and driver concerns, reporting findings to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients.
  • Assist with charter bookings, billing processes, and payroll for drivers.
  • Resolve any challenges related to pick-up and drop-off logistics.
  • Perform back-up driver duties and other clerical tasks as required.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Support the supervision of daily operational activities.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in dispatch or terminal operations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic familiarity with radio dispatch systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • The capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Compliance with DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
