Your Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills to a diverse range of challenging and impactful projects. You'll collaborate with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team, leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed grading and drainage designs using Civil 3D or InRoads software to create comprehensive 2D plans, profiles, cross-sections, and earthwork volumes.
  • Prepare preliminary and final engineering drawings for site grading, drainage systems, earthworks, underground conveyance, roads, ponds, containment structures, and excavations.
  • Perform accurate civil quantities take-offs/MTOs using Civil 3D and spreadsheets.
  • Conduct vehicle turn or swept path analyses using AutoTURN software to ensure efficient traffic flow and site accessibility.
  • Review and check design drawings for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to job-hour estimates, schedules, and change orders.
  • Participate in model reviews, team meetings, and client presentations as required.
  • Adhere to established CAD standards and quality guidelines.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Experience with InRoads and other CAD software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, BlueBeam, BIM 360/Projectwise is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles for grading, drainage, earthworks, and roads.
  • Solid grasp of coordinate systems and their applications.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain focus on complex tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
  • Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry.
