Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Engagement and Activities: Plan and lead activities that foster children's curiosity and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Guidance and Support: Assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress and prepare detailed reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems, and maintain open communication with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Environment and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to licensing regulations and maintaining a clean and organized space.
  • Security Clearance: Possess basic security clearance to work with vulnerable populations.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate punctuality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent
  • Basic security clearance
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
