About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vinyl Flooring Specialist to join our team at Erin Mills Paint and Decor Inc. as a Flooring Installation Expert. As a Commercial Flooring Technician, you will be responsible for installing high-quality vinyl flooring in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately, and prepare them for installation.
  • Install Vinyl Flooring: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, and install vinyl decking materials.
  • Read and Interpret Plans: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare floors for installation.
  • Inspect and Repair Damaged Flooring: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a smooth installation process.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Work in various settings, including commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, rural, and urban areas.
  • Physical Demands: Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, and a permanent position is available.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 45 hours per week.
