Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
  • Accompany Students: Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities, providing a safe and supportive environment.
  • Monitor Progress: Monitor and report student progress to the classroom teacher, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Operate Equipment: Assist the teacher in the operation of projectors, tape recorders, and other audio-visual or electronic equipment.
  • Support Students with Special Needs: Assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate for this position.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
