About the Role

BrainStation is a global leader in digital skills training and workforce transformation. We are seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the delivery of our 12-week Web Development Diploma program through online and in-person teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lectures and mentor students in building exciting projects using cutting-edge technologies
  • Co-create BrainStation's full-time Web Development Program to positively impact the lives and careers of hundreds of individuals
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date skills in development to teach students
  • Apply Agile Education methodologies to continuously improve the educational experience
  • Collaborate with other Educators to build digital platforms and tools for delivering educational material
  • Define the education experience of the future

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a web engineering role
  • Deep expertise in core web technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with React, Node/Express, and databases (relational and MongoDB)
  • Strong public speaking abilities
  • Experience teaching/mentoring others
  • Self-motivated, empathetic, and approachable demeanor
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic with integrity and desire to excel
  • Sincere passion for education and creating positive learning experiences

The estimated compensation for this position is $70,000 to $85,000, based on education, experience, skills, and market data.
