Position Overview: Reporting to the Liquor Manager, the Liquor Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the liquor retail establishment. This includes managing sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, receiving and organizing merchandise, maintaining product displays, and upholding cleanliness standards throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the liquor store staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting patrons and addressing their needs.
  • Manage inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and organizing products on shelves.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the liquor retail sector.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a retail setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient understanding of liquor regulations and legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wines, spirits, and craft beers.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with cash handling, till operations, and daily administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Effective leadership abilities with a focus on team engagement and motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven customer service skills, with a commitment to providing a positive shopping experience.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members, identifying performance metrics and improvement strategies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • High integrity and a strong work ethic.

Availability: Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
