Job Summary
Multiplex is seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent Co-op to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a critical role in connecting our site teams with trusted suppliers to provide necessary materials, equipment, services, and products for project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process requisitions from multiple sites, creating purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers.
- Assist buyers with product and supplier inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Perform three-point matching with requisitions, purchase orders, and packing slips, coordinating with the accounts payable team to process invoices.
- Assist with inputting rental tracker data for tools and equipment rented on site.
- Contribute to inventory management at head office and sites.
- Research and provide budgetary pricing information to the Procurement Manager.
- Document and escalate supplier performance issues to the Procurement Manager.
- Enter unit rate data for Division 1 items under various cost codes.
- Support order processing and other procurement-related tasks.
Requirements
- Equivalent of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2 years of direct work experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on construction consumables and rentals.
- On-site construction management experience is highly desirable.

- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks as needed.
