Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role within our finance team, reporting directly to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Assistant. This position is primarily focused on supporting the accounting department with various general accounting tasks and office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable, including the posting of payments and performing bank reconciliations and deposits.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts, ensuring timely posting and distribution of invoices.
  • Conduct follow-ups and collections on outstanding items with both customers and internal teams.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
  • Assist with additional duties as required by the accounting department.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Pursuing an accounting designation is considered an asset.
  • At least one year of relevant accounting experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and preferably Sage 300.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional accuracy with numerical data and a strong focus on detail.
  • Possess a solid work ethic, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
