We are seeking a reliable and skilled Moving Truck Driver to join our team at Hercules Moving Company Inc. As a Moving Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Job Summary:

The Moving Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials. The driver will also be responsible for loading and unloading goods, inspecting the vehicle, and maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Inspect the vehicle and maintain accurate records
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Valid passport
  • Driving record check (abstract)

Working Conditions:

The Moving Truck Driver will work in a variety of locations, including remote areas. The driver will be required to work overtime and may be required to travel for extended periods.
