ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Cross-Therapy Medical Liaison, you will leverage your medical expertise to facilitate the safe and effective application of GSK's products within our Vaccines and Respiratory sectors. Your role will involve engaging in meaningful scientific discussions and providing support to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the therapeutic area Medical Plan. This position is field-based and requires frequent travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and nurture scientific relationships with key opinion leaders by delivering balanced scientific information, promoting advanced medical education, and adhering to the highest industry standards in line with GSK's values and regulations.
  • Serve as the recognized scientific partner in your territory, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of diseases, vaccines, treatments, and the competitive landscape to facilitate informed scientific dialogue.
  • Adapt to engage a variety of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and decision-makers, in a non-promotional manner while responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Develop and execute detailed territory plans to achieve medical objectives, demonstrating leadership in fostering collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the healthcare community and GSK's internal teams, sharing insights that inform business strategies.
  • Represent GSK at scientific conferences, providing coverage for sessions and engaging with external experts.
  • Deliver scientific training to GSK sales representatives regarding our products and their therapeutic areas.
  • Support medical, clinical, and HEOR teams with Investigator Initiated Studies and real-world evidence projects, and assist in identifying potential clinical trial sites.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An advanced scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD).
  • Must reside within Canada.
  • Strong ability to apply scientific data credibly and engage in peer discussions.
  • Excellent public speaking and scientific presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
  • Proven strategic mindset in developing and executing territory plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building collaborative relationships.
  • Innovative and proactive in delivering value to external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of medical information exchange regulations in Canada.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Canadian reimbursement processes.
  • Valid driver's license required for this field-based role.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the territory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in vaccines or respiratory medical affairs with established connections in the field is highly desirable.
