Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Masonry Construction Assistant to support our projects at TAVARES MASONRY LTD. This position involves working in a dynamic and physically demanding environment, contributing to various masonry tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport and manage construction materials
  • Maintain and clean cranes
  • Assist in erecting and dismantling scaffolding and concrete forms
  • Support drilling and blasting operations
  • Help with building demolition
  • Organize and clean salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Clear debris and rubble from sites
  • Direct traffic near construction zones
  • Prepare and lay masonry units such as bricks and concrete blocks
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry components
  • Utilize hand and power tools for cutting and trimming materials
  • Build masonry shells for industrial chimneys
  • Install firebricks for lining chimneys and smokestacks
