Job Title: Clinical Social Worker II

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker II to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based social work services to individuals with severe and complex concurrent substance use and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide biopsychosocial assessments, consultations, and treatment to clients with severe and complex concurrent disorders
  • Collaborate with hospital and community partners to provide comprehensive care
  • Advocate for clients and families to access appropriate services and resources
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans and respond to crisis situations
  • Engage clients, families, and community supports in clinical interventions and risk reduction strategies
  • Assess clients' social determinants of health and provide assistance as needed
  • Use evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy
  • Lead group-based therapy modules and provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Document client information in accordance with hospital, college, and legislative standards
  • Participate in teaching, education, and supervision of Social Work students
  • Maintain registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Experience as a clinical social worker in a mental health and substance use treatment setting
  • Training and experience with individuals with severe and complex concurrent disorders
  • Training and experience in individual, family, and group work
  • Training and experience working with individuals with opioid use disorders, alcohol use disorders, and other substance use disorders
  • Knowledge and experience with harm reduction interventions, including safer injection practices and overdose prevention and response
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $44.67 to $57.90 per hour
  • Bilingual (French/English) is mandatory
  • Travel may be required
