About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Barber to join our team at Sudbury Barber Studio. As a Barber, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair cutting and grooming services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments and provide personalized recommendations
  • Analyze hair and scalp condition to determine the best course of treatment
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules
  • Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatment to meet client needs
  • Shampoo customers' hair and provide a relaxing experience
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches to perfection
  • Supervise other hair stylists and other staff to ensure high-quality service
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair to create a unique look
  • Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences
  • Perform receptionist duties and maintain a welcoming environment
  • Maintain and order supplies to ensure a smooth operation
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Client focus, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player skills
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the beauty industry
