About the Role

Marsh is seeking a highly skilled Financial System Applications Developer to join our team in the Technical Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global business stakeholders and technical staff to design and implement new features, enhancements, and changes to our world-class, global insurance accounting system.
  • Analyze and modify logic in existing applications to fix errors, improve performance, and upgrade interfaces.
  • Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining Web and/or Desktop software applications.
  • Translate business requirements into product designs and technical specifications.
  • Write user help and support documentation.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate on projects with management and colleagues.
  • Recommend improvements to existing programs as necessary.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics / Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience working in the Financial or Insurance Industry.
  • 3+ years of Full Stack development experience using ASP.Net and ExtJs (Angular/ReactJs).
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Relational Database Systems (Server SQL).
  • Comfortable with vanilla JavaScript.
  • Familiar with the Model-View-ViewModel and Model-View-Controller patterns.
  • Good DOM knowledge and familiar with CSS.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Proven proficiency using VB.NET and/or C#.
  • A self-starter with good written and oral communications skills capable of working both independently and with a global team.
