We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Financial Services team at Saint Mary's University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and populating annual budget templates, working with budget owners to draft and load budgets into Vena, and providing monthly and quarterly budget and cost variance analyses.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and populate annual budget templates for Saint Mary's University and its departments
- Work with budget owners to draft and load budgets into Vena
- Provide monthly and quarterly budget and cost variance analyses for designated organizations
- Act as a continuous improvement champion for the department and the University
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business Administration
- Enrolled in the CPA Program or one to three years of general accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of financial, fund, and managerial accounting, financial systems, internal controls, financial analysis, and reporting
- Above-average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
