Social Worker, Eating Disorder Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Eating Disorders Team at the IWK Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide treatment to patients and families, consult with other health professionals, and contribute to the development of evidence-based treatment protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the risk associated with eating disorders in children and youth
- Provide individual and family therapy, as well as group interventions
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in structured training environments to mentor and supervise clinical trainees
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Registered with the Nova Scotia Association of Social Workers
- Minimum two years post-masters clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health services
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (NVCI)
- Demonstrated experience in individual and family therapy, as well as group interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and reliable vehicle
