Job Summary

Groupe Colas Québec INC. is seeking a skilled Line Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Line Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain your vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of your vehicle before, during, and after each trip to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
  • Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a truck driver, or equivalent experience.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work on the road, with frequent travel and overnight stays.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, sitting for extended periods, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
