The primary objective of the Systems Architecture Team is to provide systems-level oversight during the sales, design, and execution phases of projects while offering targeted resources to identify and manage design and operational execution risks. This is achieved through a comprehensive initial understanding of applications, meticulous functionality reviews, and the application of control limits within the capabilities of the provided automation solutions. This may include proof of concept evaluations, assisting in managing technical solutions, and controlling testing parameters to accurately assess and report our capacity to meet intended objectives.

Effective communication of challenges, expectation setting, and risk prediction is essential for delivering an exceptional customer experience (ECE) as well as an outstanding employee experience (EEE).

  • Thorough review and evaluation of proposals and concepts prior to order confirmation.

  • Capacity to identify, develop process responsibilities, and establish best practices within the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to internal teams, customers, and vendor partners.
  • Proven writing skills for preparing technical and functional requirements documentation and defining project scopes.
  • A post-secondary degree/diploma with demonstrated experience in Systems Design, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in at least two areas of expertise or disciplines, which may include but are not limited to: Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Applications Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, Electrical Design Engineering, MES/SCADA Data Systems, Control System Engineering/Integration in a similar environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing significant contributions in areas such as design analysis, system accuracy, cycle time, kinematics, reliability/maintainability, technical risk assessment, design for automation, functional planning, design specifications, acceptance test plans, third-party qualification, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience in system design, development, and qualification of robotic automation solutions is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of robotics, vision systems, machine controls, structured problem-solving, and statistical analysis is essential.
