About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at Tarra Engineering and Structural Consultants Inc. as a key member of our design team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Design Development: Develop and prepare design sketches and technical reports.
  • Specifications and Estimates: Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Contract and Tender Preparation: Prepare contracts and tenders for engineering projects.
  • Documentation and Quality Control: Complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and examine drawings for conformity and errors.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Consulting firm.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
