Job Title: Horticulturist Helper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Horticulturist Helper to join our team at SOUTHSHORE GREENHOUSES INC.

Job Summary:

The Horticulturist Helper will assist in the cultivation and maintenance of greenhouse vegetables, including tasks such as cleaning, fertilizing, and harvesting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain greenhouse facilities, including crops and equipment
  • Apply fertilizers and other plant care products as needed
  • Harvest and prepare vegetables for market
  • Assist in the planting and irrigation of crops
  • Monitor and report signs of insect or disease damage
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in horticulture or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working Conditions:

The Horticulturist Helper will work in a greenhouse environment, which may involve exposure to heat, humidity, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
