About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Horticulturist Helper at Mucci Farms. As a key member of our greenhouse team, you will be responsible for assisting in the cultivation and care of our crops, ensuring the highest quality produce for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including crops, equipment, and work areas.
  • Assist in the planting, cultivation, and irrigation of crops, including vegetables and greenhouse tomatoes.
  • Monitor and report signs of insect or disease damage, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Perform hand harvesting of vegetables and other crops, and assist in the preparation of crops for market.
  • Assist in the application of fertilizers and other crop care products, and maintain accurate records of treatments.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment

Our greenhouse is a non-smoking environment, located in a rural area. We offer a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Language and Hours
