Professional Engineer, Stress In-service Support Specialist

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to join our team as a Stress In-service Support Specialist. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and analysis for in-service repairs and modifications of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Support stress in-service repair activities, including performing various stress analyses on repairs and preparing stress reports for compliance purposes.
- Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and repair trade studies, and review repair engineering drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues to the supported repair activities, and participate actively in the development of in-service solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that repair activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and that all necessary documentation is completed and maintained.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or a related field, and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience in Aircraft Structural substantiation analysis, including static, fatigue/durability, and damage tolerance analysis, and a strong knowledge of structural analysis software such as Patran/Nastran and CATIA V5.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
