In this role, reporting to the Director of IT Operations & Governance, the IT Security Specialist will oversee all security dimensions within IT solutions related to SAP applications and middleware, ensuring adherence to security protocols established by the Security Center of Excellence (COE), meeting security audit requirements, and implementing industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will champion the integration and application of security measures throughout the product lifecycle within the Business Solution Delivery (BSD) division, from Architecture to Design, Testing, Deployment, and Operations.

The security architect will liaise with the Security COE and is tasked with generating any necessary security assessments or audit reports as required by the Security COE.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the access model and promoting security awareness among product teams regarding relevant standards and policies.
  • Collaborating with business and project teams to manage SAP/middleware access requests and associated issues through standardized processes.
  • Assisting in the resolution of challenges related to roles and authorizations, and developing a testing strategy for credential management, code quality, vulnerability assessments, and other authorization-related developments.
  • Providing support for secure code migrations (Transport) across all Cloud environments for SAP applications and middleware platforms.
  • Conducting risk assessments, threat modeling, and security architecture evaluations, while preparing and maintaining security-related documentation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the IT Security domain.
  • Comprehensive understanding of entitlements and access control, along with various protocols for record tracking such as LDAP.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SaaS/Application/Network security, including both SAP and non-SAP applications.
  • Proficiency in Middleware Management and Data Security.
  • Experience with Cloud computing, Cloud Network Services, and Software-defined Networking (SDN).
  • Expertise in Cyber Security and Cyber Investigation.
  • Familiarity with web technologies and standards such as JSON, REST, SOAP, XML, W3C Standards, and Python.
  • Knowledge of network layer technologies including firewalls (e.g., Juniper, Checkpoint), EDR fundamentals, VPN technologies, and DNS.
  • Experience in Test and Evaluation, Risk Management, and designing/configuring SAP security solutions like GRC Access Control and Identity Access Governance.
  • Ability to anticipate IT risks and their implications on SAP ERP programs, with a knack for identifying vulnerabilities and proposing solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Jira for Agile software development and delivery methodologies.

Academic:
A university degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field is required.

Options for either a full-time remote or in-office workspace can be arranged with your manager. You will have the choice of a Mac or Windows development environment.
