Information Systems Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technologist II to join our team at School District #43 (Coquitlam). As a key member of our Information Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical support services to our 72 schools and other sites throughout the district.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to IS team members and district staff.
- Coordinate and support district and ministry data collection and data management processes, projects, and user/technical support.
- Ensure secure and effective operations of critical infrastructure, including implementation of effective backup, recovery, and continuity solutions.
- Engage in ongoing training to ensure relevant certifications remain current and continuously upgrade skills to anticipate and support new technology.
- A two-year computer systems related diploma from an accredited public college plus three years of related recent experience.
- Completion of CompTIA Project+ or CompTIA Security+ (certificate required).
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license.
This is a unionized position offering $40.89/hour, 40 hours a week, including an attractive benefit package which includes extended health, dental, MSP, and pension plan (MPP).
