Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at NEWCRAFT WINDOWS & DOORS INC. as a permanent employee.

Work Environment

This role involves working at heights, outdoors, and in a physically demanding environment. You will be required to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits.
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a watertight seal.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function.
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques.
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Transport cases of glass, ensuring safe handling and storage.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for each project, considering factors like labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, following strict safety guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and precision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
