Clinical Resource Nurse, Ambulatory Care Chemo Unit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Resource Nurse to join our team in the Ambulatory Care Chemo Unit. As a Clinical Resource Nurse, you will provide leadership and expertise in the delivery of care activities in defined areas of clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to established standards and policies.
- Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff, including certification courses and in-service sessions.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Leader, Assessment Module Leader, and Professional Practice Leader to identify individual nurse's learning needs and develop plans to achieve desired levels of competency.
- Participate in the performance appraisal process for nursing staff, providing input on individual nurse's performance.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to clinical staff and students, ensuring compliance with standards of practice and promoting staff collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years recent clinical experience in a related program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, leadership, and work direction.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and coach staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in the provision of clinical care to oncology patients in the designated area.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others.
- Proven conflict resolution skills.
- Effective team building skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in collaboration with others.
- Knowledge of research process and methodology.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
