Food Service Manager

At Chef Big D's Deli and Restaurant, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting their full potential.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced and dynamic conditions.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
