About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Chili Hut. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and safe, and take corrective action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
