We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Operational Excellence to join our team at Teva Pharmaceuticals. This leadership position will be responsible for driving Operational Excellence across our sites in Canada and the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Operational Excellence Initiatives: Identify, prioritize, and execute improvement projects across all functions of the business to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build Operational Excellence Capabilities: Develop and implement Operational Excellence principles and practices across Teva Canada Sites, including 5S, Gemba, visual factory, standard work, and other relevant methodologies.
- Oversight and Ownership: Oversee and own Gross Margin Enhancement activities across Teva Canada Sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams at all levels to foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive business results.
- Site Metrics and Analysis: Analyze site metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to drive business growth.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to campus personnel on Operational Excellence principles and practices.
- Leadership and Management: Manage and develop direct reports and indirect reports, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and Batch Record instructions.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent education.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, with 5+ years of experience as a change agent/leader in a lean environment, preferably in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing.
- Certifications: Lean certification preferred.
- Skills: Excellent Excel skills, project management, and advanced presentation skills, with experience in and working knowledge of a variety of functions such as manufacturing, quality, validation, and supply chain.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with and in-depth knowledge of cGMP and other applicable industry regulatory requirements.
- Travel: Ability to travel between Teva Canada sites and other Teva North American sites as needed.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to motivate, influence, and lead others, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving and Analysis: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions, with a strong understanding of business operations and processes.
