Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead SRE Engineer to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our US Cash Management Technology team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future technology landscape of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership on SRE initiatives, ensuring the development and implementation of high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of SRE solutions, including monitoring, alerting, and machine learning anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive transformation and automation of existing processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices for SRE solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to team members on SRE-related topics.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Staff SRE or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of SRE practices and technologies, including Python, YAML, Shell scripting, Azure, Linux, and Dynatrace.
  • Strong exposure and use of Kubernetes.
  • Ability to influence at the Senior and/or Principal level.
