About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team at Janet Adeola Isola. As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Journal Entries: Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports, to support business decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
