Position Overview

CB Canada is seeking a Senior Business Architect with eligibility for a Secret (level II) clearance to offer expert services in support of our defence client's Information Capabilities Strategic Assessments. This role primarily involves remote work, with occasional on-site requirements within the capital region as dictated by client needs.

The Senior Business Architect will play a pivotal role in enhancing the rigor of Force Development within the Information Capabilities portfolio. The primary objective is to develop a comprehensive roadmap for all Information Capabilities over an extended timeline, utilizing the "Conceive, Design, Build and Manage" methodology. The successful candidate will assist in conducting analyses and creating an Information Capabilities (IC) roadmap for identified capabilities.

The responsibilities of the Senior Business Architect include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and refining the Information Capability (IC) demand management framework;
  • Gathering, analyzing, and monitoring all Information Capability requirements across various timelines;
  • Performing and documenting gap analyses of Information Capability development using Capability Maturity Models;
  • Engaging with multiple stakeholders to elicit capability needs and requirements, leading brainstorming sessions, conducting surveys, interviews, and performing data analysis;
  • Documenting the outcomes of capability assessments in reports and presentations, utilizing MS Office 2013 Suite as directed;
  • Preparing monthly progress reports detailing significant activities, status updates, encountered challenges, and recommendations for ongoing work.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in sciences, engineering, or information management from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in identifying various business architecture components and strategies within the last ten years.
  • At least five years of combined experience in identifying, analyzing, and validating services and processes to facilitate business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in developing models, facilitating workshops, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in developing business strategies that align with organizational mandates.
  • Proficiency in using established business architecture methodologies such as Rational Unified Process (RUP) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
