We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Armoclan Engineering Ltd.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Permanent employment
- 30 hours per week
- Willing to travel
- Physically demanding work environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles required
