Job Summary

CapitalCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to the care team and manage staff assignments of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Health Care Aides.
  • Determine when to assign and supervise the performance of Restricted Activities.
  • Collaborate with families and other internal and external customers to provide safe, competent, and ethical care to residents.
  • Utilize nursing process, critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills to provide clinical leadership and support to the care team.

Qualifications

  • Education & Certification: Registration with CARNA or CRPNA and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-HCP) certification are required.
  • Experience: Two years' nursing experience is strongly preferred, and experience/certification as a RAI 2.0 Assessor is an asset.
  • Knowledge & Competencies: Knowledge of nursing clinical best practice standards/protocols, nursing practice fundamentals, and ability to create an empowering work environment and supports knowledge transfer.

Compensation

$39.21 - $54.46 per hour as per the UNA Collective Agreement.
