In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Uphold safe, environmentally responsible, and healthy work practices at all times, in alignment with Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs, and initiatives.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues utilizing various diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship in repairing material handling equipment within the designated timeframes while in the field.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on Caterpillar and other heavy machinery according to established standards.
  • Generate precise service and repair documentation in a timely manner.
  • Foster excellent communication and trusted relationships with customers through regular site visits.

Essential qualifications for this role:

  • A valid technician license in accordance with provincial regulations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, including hands-on work with Diesel engines.
  • Experience in servicing and repairing heavy machinery, whether in a workshop or field setting, is advantageous.
  • A valid Driver's license (DZ License preferred).
