Job Title: Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team at our Stoney Creek Construction & Forestry location.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to diagnose and repair complex heavy equipment issues in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently evaluate the working condition of heavy equipment and diagnose issues
  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including assembly, disassembly, and ordering parts
  • Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
  • Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
  • Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment considered an asset
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
  • Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
