Job Title: Program Planner, Special Events

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Planner, Special Events to join our team at the Culinary Tourism Alliance. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing various events and conferences that promote culinary tourism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events and conferences
  • Prepare and manage budgets for events and conferences
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to arrange for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services
  • Assist in site selection and attend to related details
  • Coordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers and presenters
  • Implement registration systems and information materials
  • Research and design special events programs
  • Plan for social events and guest programs
  • Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software
