Role Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Compliance Analyst to join our North American team. This role is pivotal in managing various tax functions to ensure that our financial resources align with tax regulations and standards, guaranteeing timely and accurate completion of tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough analyses of intricate transactions to determine appropriate tax treatment.
  • Preparing and filing local, state, and federal tax returns along with other tax-related submissions for the US and Canada.
  • Actively participating in the quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including effective tax rate analysis.
  • Coordinating responses to tax audits, inquiries, and communications from tax authorities.
  • Performing detailed tax research and staying informed about changes in tax legislation in the US and Canada, while identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Preparing and reviewing local Transfer Pricing documentation for compliance.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation related to tax filings and provisions.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of tax experience, ideally within a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with SAP and tax software such as Longview or Vertex is advantageous, along with a focus on process enhancements and ERP system transitions.
