Key Responsibilities:- Middleware Management: Ensure the availability, performance, and security of our JBoss-based systems, including configuration management, patching, and troubleshooting.
- System Administration: Provide day-to-day system administration for our enterprise systems, including Linux/Unix server management, network configuration, and security updates.
- Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with our infrastructure team to design and implement new systems and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for our internal teams and external clients, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and knowledge sharing.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of our systems and processes, and share knowledge with the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Deep Technical Expertise: 3+ years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on JBoss middleware and Linux/Unix server management.
- Infrastructure Experience: Experience with VMWare Virtual Machines, load balancers, firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
- Oracle Database Experience: Experience with Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Enterprise Schedulers: Knowledge of enterprise schedulers such as Active Batch.
- Windows System Administration: Experience with Windows system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Data Center Experience: Prior experience with data center moves and migrations.
