Job Title: Bricklayer Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer Supervisor to join our team at Granitek Masonry Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the work of bricklayers, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard. This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of bricklayers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of bricklayers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities, including ordering materials and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with these documents.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Lead and instruct individuals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 5 years or more of experience in a supervisory role, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work under pressure, with overtime required as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, and work at heights.

  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to work under pressure.
