Job Summary

BAIE VISTA INN LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that all necessary items are available.
    • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that all dishes are presented to the highest standard.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food order summaries for the chef, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Setting
    • Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a client-focused approach.
Working Conditions

35 hours per week, permanent position.
