Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and management of housekeeping services at the facility. In this position, you will lead a team of housekeepers in a shift-based environment, promoting a safe and productive workplace. Your strong presence will be essential in managing staff and engaging with guests, while ensuring outstanding guest service and adherence to relevant regulations and policies. You will contribute to a safe and inviting work atmosphere for all employees, motivating your team and fostering a culture of learning and development. It is imperative to ensure compliance with all established protocols and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Supervise a team of housekeepers in a shift work environment, ensuring a safe and efficient operation;
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels of supplies, ensuring equipment is functioning properly, and ordering supplies as necessary;
  • Accountable for staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, recognition, and professional development;
  • Assist with scheduling and approving time management on a daily basis;
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant department heads;
  • Address concerns from guests and other stakeholders promptly;
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards throughout the facility;
  • Adhere to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a relevant area;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and leadership skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines, while managing exposure to conflict and noise;
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management as part of a cohesive team;
  • Capability to exceed guest expectations through timely and effective communication;
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic setting;
  • Flexibility to accommodate a schedule that meets the demands of a 24-hour operation, including evening and weekend shifts;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the relevant regulatory body.

Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
