Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control (IPAC) best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to standards.
  • Protect equipment and report any damages or deficiencies to management.
  • Notify management of any health and safety risks or concerns.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school diploma preferred.
  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-oriented and friendly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach freely.
  • Ability to freely lift 23 kilograms.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in either English or French.

Reporting Relationships:

The Housekeeper reports to a Clinical Lead/Manager as designated by the Director, Integrated Care Solutions.

Standards of Performance:

The Housekeeper must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities as detailed in this job description.
