Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating communication, maintaining patient records, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate communication between healthcare teams and patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare teams
  • Assist with data entry and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • One year previous Ward Clerk experience in an acute care in-patient hospital setting
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience in electronic patient records
  • Proficient with the use of computer software (Microsoft Office, Groupwise, etc)
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and in a busy team environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team-oriented setting and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
