We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our kitchen team at East Side Mario's as a Kitchen Team Member. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Team Support: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all staff and customers.
- Leadership: Manage kitchen operations, making decisions to ensure smooth service and high-quality food.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Standing for extended periods is also a requirement.
Support for Diverse Groups- Newcomer Support: We welcome and support newcomers and refugees, providing opportunities for foreign credential recognition and on-the-job training.
- Youth Support: We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, promoting their development and growth in the culinary industry.

This role requires working in English, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. The work environment is fast-paced, with a focus on quality and safety.
