We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for decorating and finishing cake and pastry products to the highest standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Follow direction and production planners to ensure efficient production.
- Decorate and finish cake and pastry products to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate production and waste schedules to minimize waste and optimize production.
- Fill and maintain merchandising units to ensure a visually appealing display.
- Wrap, price, and code finished products to meet company standards.
- Understand rotation and FIFO principles to ensure freshness and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering a high-quality customer experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in cake decorating and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a supermarket retail environment.
- Full knowledge of Fortinos' cake and pastry varieties.
- Ability to direct and train staff to follow Fortinos' cake and pastry decorating policies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be flexible to work a combination of shifts, including weekends.
- Self-motivated and conscientious of a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
